About Me

Certified Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher and Certified Suzuki Music Teacher

I strive to be different and make learning more fun and individualized. I teach all types of piano music including Suzuki music, popular, and jazz and blues. All ages and levels are accepted!

I am a highly accredited and professional piano teacher teaching piano lessons and music theory. I started to study piano at the age of 8 and eventually accomplished first honors status.

I studied piano with prominent teachers such as Brian Cross, Dr. Jamie Syer, and Dr. Peter Jancewicz of Calgary. I competed in musical events such as the Kiwanis and APTA Calgary festivals. Additionally, I have been placed in high rankings and have been claimed by adjudicators as a highly talented and an expressive pianist.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Teaching Degree from the University of Calgary, and I am active in teaching music and performing. Currently, I own and teach at my music studio.

I also taught piano performance and early childhood music education. Furthermore, I have experience teaching at music schools and studios in San Francisco, specializing in classical music and music theory to elementary students.

I attend educational seminars to further my pedagogy in teaching, and I am also a member of the Music Teacher Association of California. I am a Certified Royal Conservatory of Music teacher as well as a Certified Suzuki Music teacher.

In 2017 and 2018, I was recognized as the teacher of award winners for piano performances in San Francisco. Since 2002, my students have achieved scholarships on music performances and ranking as well as honors with distinction status in performance and theory.
